Upload was commissioned for the new Oxford Brookes Piazza consists of a free-standing glass wall. (30mm x 1500mm x 9000mm). Enamel-baked lines on either side create competing moire effects from different distances and speeds.
There is a transparent blue element within the layers. The work is viewed from multiple angles on various approaches from the main road. The piece is visible to passing vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists traversing the site.
The glass is self-cleaning and has a slight mat surface which stops reflection allows transparency and diffuses colours through it.
