Client: Arts Council, Whiston Hospital Art Commission, Kings Fund

This courtyard re-design and structural glass artwork was created in collaboration with architects Capita Symonds and was a case study for the Kings Foundation (Enhancing the Healing Environment). LED floor lights, passing through green, amber and white sequences, play inside a glass tunnel, etched with a stylised bamboo motif. The strobe effect of a person walking the walk and traversing the structure has a performative aspect for people passing by in the corridors. The work acts as backdrop for specific performances facing the small amphitheater seating.
